Kept causing havoc along side Racine.

A battling sun breaks late with resilience.
The dark clouds merely slow its brilliance.

Contrary to the city buildings that tower;

With no sunrise and views in gray, 
a subtle site, will turnabout the day.

Shadows of famous river dwellers;   
Historic explorers and storytellers.

A Bird's Life

Never certain, what the morning will bring:
No matter the weather, this bird will sing. 

Large Barge

Transferring barge, river weary.
Heavy loads, they push and carry.

Cloud Catch

The clouds among a setting sun;
catch the end of daylight's run.

A full moon lingering over the rooftop,

Front and center, fallen tree on its side;
somehow seems held by those yet alive.

In the tree's shadow, remains a whisper,

A flap, a jump, with wings aloft;
